Our client, a successful group with diverse business interests including retail outlets, are currently looking to recruit a Senior Payroll Administrator to work as part of a team with responsibility for end-to-end payroll for upwards of 6,000 employees on a fortnightly and monthly basis.
The role will involve ensuring employees across the Group are paid accurately and on time, maintaining compliance with all company and regulatory requirements in relation to employee pay and benefits. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for running payrolls and delegating the workload of a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of 2/3.
- Manage up to 5-6 fortnightly payroll each week.
- Submit all BACS files in time.
- Submit all EPS & FPS in time.
- Submit pension contribution in time.
- Submitting PAYE & AOE BACS in time.
- Checking and validating new starter documentation before setting them up on Iris Professional (Star) Payroll.
- Ensure all employees adhere to UKBA guidelines on right to work.
- Monitor the payroll mailbox and ensure all queries are dealt with within a 24 hour SLA.
- Tracking, processing and amending holiday pay, Statutory Sickness Pay and other forms of leave such as maternity/paternity pay, etc.
- Regularly review end to end controls, routines, and duty segregations.
- Liaise with Area Managers on areas of opportunities and improvement measures.
- Respond to ONS on employee matters in time.
- Lead, coach and develop a team.
- Essential requirements are:
- 2-3 years in similar capacity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate to advance Excel skills. Able to use functions such as Vlookups, Hlookups, Sumifs, Ifs, Pivots.
- Familiar with the latest HR regulations/guidelines to ensure compliance.
This is an office based role with hours Monday - Friday 9 am - 6pm (or 8am to 5pm flexible to suit)
