Role Overview

We are looking for a Payroll Pensions Officer to join our HR & Payroll team. You will be the first point of contact for all pension-related queries, ensuring accurate administration, compliance with statutory regulations, and delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary contact for all pension queries, resolving issues and signposting where necessary.

  • Provide advice to employees and managers regarding auto/contractual enrolment for LGPS, NHS, and Teachers' Pensions schemes.

  • Ensure compliance with auto-enrolment regulations and statutory deadlines.

  • Generate and send official pension correspondence in line with legal obligations.

  • Process pension data service files and resolve any errors.

  • Maintain and update pension records using iTrent and Google Sheets.

  • Support the Payroll and Pensions Lead by scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and taking accurate notes.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure the highest standards of data security.

About You
  • Strong knowledge of workforce pension administration, including LGPS, NHS, and Teachers' Pensions.

  • Experience handling pension queries and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.

  • Proficiency in using payroll systems such as iTrent and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
