A London market insurance business is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Senior Payroll Administrator to join their London based finance team. Supporting the Payroll Manager the successful applicant will work closely with external payroll partners by inputting data into the payroll system, handling starter / leaver details and bank information, manually adjusting statutory maternity pay (SMP), statutory sick pay (SSP), pay rates, and other adjustments, maintain payroll records and prepare reports as needed, collaborate with HR and accounting departments to streamline payroll processes, perform regular reconciliations and audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy of employee pay information, improve and implement processes and internal controls, owning payroll-related monthly reporting process including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts, act as the main point-of-contact for employees on questions relating to pay and create/ update payroll process documents for various entities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that payroll processes run smoothly and efficiently. Suitable applicants will have at least three years of UK, EU, end to end payroll experience combined with strong reconciliation skills, a high level of proficiency on Excel, excellent organisational and time-management skills, and a desire to progress and improve the payroll function. Any experience of Workday would be highly advantageous.
