Title: Senior Payroll AdministratorLocation: London – 2 days per monthSalary: £35,000Contract: Permanent  We have a great opportunity for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join a payroll services organisation. In this role, you will provide expert payroll guidance and support to clients and colleagues, ensuring compliance with legislation, internal policies, and service level agreements. The position requires working to strict deadlines and managing key payroll responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, from mid-June, you will temporarily take on the Payroll Team Leader role to cover maternity leave. Full training will be provided beforehand, along with ongoing support and a salary adjustment for the duration of the cover. Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing your own payroll section, ensuring all processes run smoothly.
  • Acting as the primary escalation contact in the Payroll Team Leader’s absence.
  • Handling payroll data for new starters, leavers, salary adjustments, allowances, sickness absence, and other payroll-related changes.
  • Responding promptly to payroll queries from clients, employees, and external parties.
  • Organising and prioritising workload to meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Processing payroll amendments, including correcting errors and arranging additional payments.
  • Reviewing and verifying payroll data for accuracy, ensuring a clear audit trail.
  • Meeting or exceeding service delivery targets.
  • Complying with data protection regulations, maintaining client confidentiality, and following internal policies.
  • Supporting the Payroll Team Leader and assisting with other tasks as required.
