- Serve as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Payroll Team Leader, managing escalations and urgent issues.
- Manage payroll data received from the client's HR department and line managers, covering: Starters, leavers, and pay reviews, Pay adjustments, sickness, and changes in working hours.
- Take ownership of your workload, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed within set timelines.
- Meet tight deadlines regarding cut off dates.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies arising from queries, such as correcting overpayments and processing necessary adjustments.
- Check data for self and colleagues’ work, providing an audit trail of events.
- Consistently meet or exceed service delivery targets and strive to improve performance where possible.
- Must have Client or Bureau Payroll experience
- Must have knowledge of IRIS (Star Professional) and/ or Zellis (Northgate software)
- Highly organised with ability to prioritise workload
- Accurate and methodical approach
