Job Description:

Our client in the higher education sector is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join their team. This role is based near Euston Station and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely salary payments for employees and workers.
  • Provide guidance on complex pay and reward-related benefits, policies, and legislation.
  • Maintain and update pay records, ensuring compliance with procedures and service standards.
  • Train Payroll Analysts and ensure continuous improvement in payroll processes.
  • Liaise with the Quality Assurance team to ensure adherence to payroll debt management policy.
  • Produce and maintain detailed process documents for all payroll processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll practitioner using multiple HR/Payroll integrated computer systems, including Oracle EBS.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PAYE and payroll procedures, including statutory payments, over/underpayment and manual calculations.
  • Experience with internal or external audits.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • High level of numeracy skills and ability to undertake complex calculations.
  • Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation and procedures related to the role.
  • Ability to manage and analyse data, providing reports where appropriate.
