Job Title: Senior Payroll Benefits & Pensions Lead

Salary: £40,000

Location: 100% Remote

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Benefits & Pensions Lead to manage and streamline their benefits and pension administration processes across multiple payrolls in the UK. This is a key role within their Payroll team, ensuring compliance with UK payroll regulations whilst also providing a high-quality service to their employees.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all benefits and pension administration across over 35 UK payrolls.
  • Reconcile and manage data reports to support the flexible benefits platform and pension schemes.
  • Administer pension schemes, including auto enrolment and contributions.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and pension requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage employee pension and benefit queries through a shared mailbox.
  • Support year-end processes, including P11D forms and Company Car administration.
  • Drive Pension & Benefit projects within the payroll team.
  • Manage multiple payrolls during M&A activity.
  • Collaborate with benefit providers and internal teams to ensure best practices and governance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Payroll, Pensions & Benefits Administration.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, meet tight deadlines, and handle complex tasks.
  • MS Office/Excel proficiency.
  • Desired: Experience with Flexible Benefits platforms (Benefex), HRIS systems (Cascade, Dayforce), and managing multiple payrolls.
