Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Payroll Officer to oversee and manage their payroll services with precision and expertise.The Role:
  • Contract: Permanent.
  • Salary: £34,021 - £36,013 per annum (typically starting at £34,021).
  • Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
  • Location: Based in Sighthill, with occasional work at other locations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision of the Payroll team (consisting of the senior payroll officer and one payroll officer) to deliver an excellent payroll service, ensuring that staff are paid to strict pay dates.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and verification of the payroll input in the integrated HR/Payroll system (iTrent) and for completing monthly payroll reconciliations.
  • Administering the pension schemes.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all month and year end statutory returns and payments.
  • Lead the payroll team, ensuring compliance with finance policies and procedures.
  • Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Oversee statutory returns and ensure all year-end statistics are completed accurately.
What You’ll Need:
  • A qualification at SCQF Level 7 in payroll or finance, or relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll policies and the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • Leadership and organizational skills to support and develop the team.
