Role: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: London (field base)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our client’s maintenance team. This role involves delivering operation and maintenance services across a fleet of heat networks, with responsibilities including planned preventative maintenance, reactive call-outs, and project work.
The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial gas certificate and experience servicing and repairing commercial boiler equipment. Additional experience with non-gas plant such as pumps, valves, and strainers is highly desirable. As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be key in improving the reliability and efficiency of the networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Engineer in maintaining commercial gas boilers and other plant equipment.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial gas systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in commercial gas equipment and associated systems.
- Attend call-outs as part of an on-call rota (typically 1 week in 4).
- Ensure accurate documentation of all work completed.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
- Commercial gas registration and relevant certifications (e.g., TPCP1, BMP1).
- Knowledge of maintaining commercial gas boilers from manufacturers such as Hoval, Ideal, and Buderus.
- Full UK driving license.
