Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our clients NHS Hospital Paediatrics team starting in January 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pharmacy professional with a passion for paediatric care and a strong background in clinical pharmacy.
As a Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, supporting the clinical teams, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines for paediatric patients. Your role will involve working directly on hospital wards, providing both clinical pharmacy services and direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to paediatric patients.
- Conduct ward rounds and contribute to the clinical decision-making process.
- Review and advise on medication therapy for paediatric patients.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and guidelines regarding medication use.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Hospital wards experience is required.
- Qualified pharmacist with experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience in paediatric pharmacy is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to manage a varied and demanding workload.
