Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician with expertise in Aseptics?

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s pharmacy team at an NHS hospital in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for aseptic preparation to contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and dispensing aseptic medications, including chemotherapy, intravenous preparations, and other sterile products.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and aseptic technique guidelines.
  • Contributing to the smooth running of the aseptic unit, including stock management and equipment maintenance.
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior staff and trainees.
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements:

  • Recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification (BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with aseptic services, including preparation of chemotherapy and other sterile products.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques, health and safety regulations, and relevant pharmacy legislation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

  • Post-registration qualifications in aseptic services.
  • Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
