Are you a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist looking to make a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a vibrant secondary school in Ealing, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ranging from verbal to non-verbal abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the sensory, physical, and functional needs of students with ASD, tailoring interventions to their individual needs.
  • Develop and implement targeted therapy plans to enhance students' engagement in learning and daily activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and families to create inclusive strategies that support students' development.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on sensory integration techniques and classroom adaptations.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with children or young people with ASD, particularly in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of communication tools such as PECS, Makaton, or similar is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and empowering young people to achieve their full potential.
