Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to join our private clinic in Fulham. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in private MSK clinics in London, demonstrating a high level of clinical expertise, patient care, and service delivery. This role requires strong manual therapy skills, a deep understanding of musculoskeletal disorders, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload of patients from all walks of life, including athletes, professionals, and those recovering from injury or surgery.

You will be working as part of a friendly and highly professional multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based treatment and helping clients achieve their recovery goals in a modern and fully equipped clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis: Perform thorough assessments of patients with a wide range of MSK conditions, including sports injuries, chronic pain, post-operative rehabilitation, and general musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalised treatment and rehabilitation plans based on individual patient assessments, combining manual therapy, exercise prescription, and other treatment modalities.
  • Manual Therapy: Deliver advanced manual therapy techniques, including joint mobilisation, manipulation, soft tissue techniques, and other hands-on interventions to relieve pain and improve function.
  • Exercise Prescription: Design and guide patients through exercise programmes to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and overall function, ensuring exercises are tailored to their individual goals.
  • Patient Education: Provide clear education on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term recovery and health.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals within the clinic, including sports therapists, osteopaths, and personal trainers, to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the development of clinic services, including involvement in new treatment offerings, technology adoption, and patient engagement strategies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records in compliance with clinical and legal requirements.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Support junior physiotherapists and other team members through supervision, training, and guidance, promoting continuous professional development within the clinic.
Essential Requirements:
  • Qualifications:
    • Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc).
    • Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in private MSK clinics in London, managing a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
    • Proven track record of successfully treating patients in a private healthcare setting, demonstrating clinical expertise in manual therapy and rehabilitation.
  • Skills:
    • Strong diagnostic and manual therapy skills, including advanced techniques for musculoskeletal dysfunction.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with patients.
    • Ability to work efficiently with a multidisciplinary team and adapt treatment plans collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Knowledge:
    • Up-to-date knowledge of MSK physiotherapy treatments, including the latest research and best practices in manual therapy and rehabilitation.
    • Understanding of working in a private practice environment, including patient management, service expectations, and business development.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Specialisation: Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in areas such as sports physiotherapy, acupuncture, or pilates.
  • Experience with Specific Populations: Experience working with high-performance athletes or in sports physiotherapy settings.
  • Private Practice Experience: Demonstrated experience in the business aspects of private healthcare, including managing patient flow, retention, and clinical service delivery.
