Junior to Intermediate Support Engineer (Part-time)
Location: 1-2 days a week onsite in Maidenhead and London
Employment type: Contract with a minimum 6-12 months
Rate: Up to 200 per day depending on experience, probably inside IR35 because you will need to have insurance in order to do this role.
About the Role:
We are seeking a junior to intermediate Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Senior Support Engineer, providing on-site and remote IT support at times. You will be responsible for PC setup, troubleshooting, and general support across both our Maidenhead and London sites.
Key Responsibilities:
PC setup, configuration, and deployment.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
On-site support for equipment installation and relocation.
Knowledge and experience with Office 365 and Azure/Cloud services.
Assist in managing network infrastructure including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points.
Provide remote support for software and hardware issues as needed.
Collaborate with the Senior Engineer on complex IT projects and escalated issues.
Skills & Experience:
1+ years of experience in an IT support or technical role.
Hands-on experience with PC setup and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Office 365 and Azure/Cloud environments.
Basic knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).
Knowledge of IT infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A proactive, team-oriented approach to resolving IT issues.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to travel to Maidenhead and London sites (a car is ideal, but the Maidenhead site is a 5-minute taxi ride from the station).
