- Carry out plastering repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks in social housing properties, including patching, skimming, re-plastering, and applying render to walls and ceilings.
- Work on both internal and external plastering projects, ensuring that work is completed to a high standard.
- Prepare surfaces for plastering, including cleaning and priming, to ensure proper adhesion and a long-lasting finish.
- Repair and re-plaster damaged areas, such as cracks, holes, and water-damaged surfaces, to restore them to a safe and presentable condition.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for and that the work area is safe for both tenants and colleagues.
- Respond to and complete plastering jobs in a timely manner, including emergency repairs and routine maintenance.
- Communicate with tenants and schedule work to ensure minimal disruption, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company policies when performing plastering tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of completed jobs, including time spent, materials used, and any relevant issues.
- Liaise with other tradespeople and management to ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are completed as part of a team.
