One of the UK's leading Facilities Management service providers is seeking an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join their dedicated engineering team at a high-profile commercial building in Central London. This role offers the chance to work in a prestigious environment while delivering high-quality building services and contributing to the smooth running of a flagship site.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all plumbing systems and services throughout the building.
  • Perform fault-finding, repairs, and diagnostics on commercial plumbing infrastructure, including sanitary ware, pipework, valves, hot & cold water systems, and drainage systems.
  • Deliver minor installation works, including replacement and modification of plumbing fixtures, pipework alterations, and system upgrades as required.
  • Maintain compliance with water hygiene regulations (L8) and all relevant building compliance standards.
  • Support maintenance of mechanical plant systems and assist other trades (HVAC, electrical) where necessary to ensure smooth operations across the site.
  • Carry out daily plant checks and inspections to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide excellent client-facing service, ensuring a professional approach at all times.
  • Complete compliance paperwork, risk assessments, and service reports accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to all health & safety regulations, safe working practices, and company procedures.


Key Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Plumbing Studies / Plumbing & Heating (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) - Essential.
  • Strong experience working as a Maintenance Plumber in a commercial or FM environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in fault finding, general plumbing maintenance, and minor installation works.
  • Good understanding of hot & cold water systems, drainage systems, and water hygiene compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of associated mechanical/HVAC systems (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team under strict SLAs and KPIs.
  • Strong focus on health & safety and safe systems of work.
