We are seeking a skilled Plumber / Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various plumbing and pipefitting tasks. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential.
Duties
- Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures in accordance with specifications and building codes.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks.
- Perform welding tasks including stick welding and soldering as required for pipe connections.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Troubleshoot plumbing problems and implement effective solutions promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a plumber or pipefitter is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
- Experience in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
- A valid plumbing qualification or apprenticeship is an advantage but not mandatory for skilled individuals demonstrating relevant experience.
