Technician - Plumber 

  • Job description requirements 
  • Carry out work activities which are both routine and non-routine.  
  • Carry out new works, repairs and routine planned maintenance activities to mechanical and heating, hot and cold water plant, equipment and services. 
  • Carry out reactive work requests, minor new installation requests and weekly planned preventative maintenance dockets efficiently. 
  • Escort contractors carrying out inspections, installations 
  • strictly adhere to the relevant policies and procedures, maintain tool lists and comply with Health and Safety and Security Regulations.  

Qualification 

  • minimum NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, refrigeration or mechanical services 
  • specialised in a mechanical service (i.e. Gas, refrigeration, heat pumps) 
  • Water safety Training 

Experience 

  • Experience with all types of mechanical, ventilation or gas installations and maintenance 
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision 
  • Worked within NHS environment  

Other 

  • Own tools & PPE 
  • Ability to interact at all levels. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability.  
  • Computer literate 
  • Satisfactory attendance to work 8-16:30 M to T and 8-16 F.  
  • Current driving license (manual).  
  • Work to deadlines and may be required at any London site 
  • May be required to participate in the Department’s out of hours on call system
