Main Duties of the Job
- Deliver high-quality specialist clinical care with a focus on MSK and biomechanics.
- Provide leadership and operational support, working closely with the Clinical Team Lead.
- Educate and mentor colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Develop and implement innovative treatment plans tailored to the diverse needs of our patients.
- Act as the main point of contact for MSK interventions, ensuring best practices and evidence-based care are at the forefront.

Detailed Responsibilities
As the Specialist Podiatrist in MSK Biomechanics, you will:
- Be the clinical expert in your field, leading on biomechanics and MSK interventions within the team.
- Mentor and support junior staff, sharing your expertise and helping develop their clinical skills.
- Work autonomously to assess, diagnose, and create bespoke treatment plans for a range of patients, including those in high-risk categories.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-focused care.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Essential Criteria:
- HCPC registration as an Allied Health Professional (AHP).
- Degree in Podiatric Medicine with certification in local anaesthesia.
- Postgraduate development in Biomechanics/MSK (e.g., certificates, diplomas).
- Strong communication and leadership skills to inspire and guide your team.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset, ready to contribute to service improvement.
Desirable Criteria:
- Advanced IT and presentation skills.
- Experience delivering health promotion and patient education.
Experience Needed
Essential:
- Proven experience at Band 6 level or higher in MSK, working with high-risk, neurology, rheumatology, or orthopaedic caseloads.
- Demonstrated success in multidisciplinary teamwork and service development.
Desirable:
- Clinical supervision and mentoring experience within the NHS.
