- We are looking for an interim Chief Accountant/Deputy Section 151 Officer for one of our Borough Council clients just outside of London.
- You will line manage the Technical Accounting team, manage the Council's Revenue Programme for verifying revenue spend, produce monthly monitoring statements and projected outturns analysis (highlighting the major variances), and in conjunction with the s151 Officer, produce the Council's 5 year Revenue Outline Budget projections within the agreed deadlines.
- As well as managing the closure of accounts, preparing all supporting statements and working papers and liaising with the auditors, you will also be responsible for the production and co-ordination of the revenue and capital budgets, as well as monitoring the overall system of recharges of central support costs.
- The wider role will see you providing sound financial advice, information and support to services in formulating their business plans, performance measures, and revenue and capital spending plans.
