Associate Director - Town PlanningLocation: London

Penguin recruitment is delighted to be supporting an independent planning consultancy in London who are looking for an Associate Director. This role is perfect for an experienced planner looking to take the next step in their career, working on a variety of high-profile and complex projects while leading a talented team. The team work on a large range of projects such as residential, regeneration, retail, leisure, healthcare, energy, renewables and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse range of planning projects from inception to delivery, providing strategic and commercially astute advice to clients.
  • Building and nurturing strong client relationships, with a focus on business development and leveraging new opportunities.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Staying well-versed in current and emerging planning legislation to provide expert guidance.
  • Actively contributing to the company's growth through innovative strategies and client engagement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy setting.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing significant and complex planning applications.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning regulations and policies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to advise clients and represent the company.
  • Chartered Membership of the RTPI
