Astral Legal have partnered with a Global Insurer as they are recruiting a Company Secretary/ Compliance officer.

The Company Secretary/Compliance Officer will support the delivery of Compliance projects and transformation plans within the business. This will include providing advisory and operational support to the business on regulatory matters and regulatory change from a Legal perspective. You will support the team within financial crime and sanctions, compliance monitoring reviews and day-to-day Compliance matters.

As this role has a strong focus on licensing and regulatory matters across the business. You will also lead on all Company Secretarial matters including:

  • Board and Committee agendas and packs
  • Minute taking and SMF regulatory applications.
  • Quarterly reporting
  • Working alongside the Senior Compliance Manager in delivering high quality assurance and advice
  • Working with senior stakeholders regarding regulatory and governance matters.
  • Taking the lead on the broker on-boarding process including development of key processes
  • Board and committee packs
  • Organising and submitting SMF regulatory applications as appropriate
  • Maintaining the Key Document Repository (KDR) and working with the policy owners across the business to ensure key documents are reviewed in line with the document governance framework
  • MI and helping to draft sections of the Senior Compliance Manager's report
  • Undertaking horizon scanning of emerging regulatory risk and working with the Senior Compliance Manager to help ensure operationalisation of change is delivered appropriately

The ideal Company Secretary/ Compliance officer will have at least 3 years experience working within a Global Insurer and have experience supporting and working with the Compliance function.
