Compliance Analyst

Our client, a leading banking institution, is seeking a Compliance Analyst II to join their team. This is a Fixed Term Contract position for a period of 18 months, based in, City of London.

As a Compliance Analyst II, you will be responsible for tracking, reviewing, and communicating pending and passed regulations, agency guidelines, or directives that impact our client's lines of business. You will work closely with the business to prioritise and address regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and communicate regulatory changes affecting products, services, and business activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance on implementing regulatory changes.
  • Communicate detailed requirements to the lines of business, validate solution approach, and monitor progress.
  • Conduct compliance reviews for new and expanding products and services.
  • Respond to issues related to regulatory compliance.
  • Perform periodic reviews and evaluations to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Conduct compliance assessments and provide direction for any deficiencies detected.
  • Collaborate with business unit Compliance Officers to provide updates on compliance issues.
  • Monitor compliance activities to ensure deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Track and validate product compliance deficiencies until completion.
  • Participate in the development of compliance sessions and training.
  • Identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Prepare reports and updates as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one area of compliance, such as banking regulations, anti-money laundering, or anti-corruption.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand technical and legal documents.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines.
