cer Financial are working alongside a bank who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Compliance Assistant to work with them on a permanent basis.

The responsibilities of a Compliance Assistant will include:

  • To assist the Compliance Manager to adhere to the compliance principles written by head office, and to assist the Compliance Manager to implement/maintain policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • To support the team with updating the London Branch compliance, as well as compliance monitoring.
  • To maintain knowledge and awareness of any regulatory changes, including review of relevant FCA consultation papers, discussion papers, policy statements and relevant reviews. as well as risk assessments and reports, update the risk assessments, help prepare for visits/audits both internal/external. To ensure senior managers and certified persons regime is up to date.

The successful Compliance Assistant will have:

  • Minimum qualification - degree level - preferably within legal background.
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering practices, to do with on-boarding including PEPs.
  • To have good understanding of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and PRA rules.
