The Role
As a Compliance Business Partner, you'll be the primary contact for compliance support across various business areas. You'll guide leaders in mitigating conduct risk, maintain compliance policies, and promote a culture of continuous improvement in customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Business Partner:
- Provide practical compliance advice and support to all departments
- Review Delegated Authority Agreements and monitor adherence
- Maintain and update compliance policies to align with regulatory obligations
- Deliver compliance training to staff at all levels
- Oversee compliance activities for acquired firms during integration
Required knowledge and experience for the Compliance Business Partner role:
- Strong working knowledge of FCA regulations, including ICOBS and SMCR
- Practical understanding of compliance frameworks in an insurance context
- Proven ability to manage and deliver compliance training
- Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
- Desirable: Recognised industry accreditation (e.g., CII/ICA) or working towards it
