Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to join their Risk & Compliance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the strong R&C culture within the organisation, offering proactive advisory services that support the wider team. This role also includes mentoring and training junior staff members, contributing to team objectives, and maintaining effective relationships with regulatory bodies.

What you'll do:

As a Compliance Officer, your primary focus will be on further enhancing the strong R&C culture within the organisation. You will provide proactive R&C advisory services that support the UK R&C Team, Money Laundering Compliance Officer, and Compliance & Nominated Officers. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the development and execution of risk and compliance strategies, supervising a team of compliance professionals, conducting high-level risk assessments, ensuring organisational compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, overseeing investigations into major compliance breaches, developing robust training programmes, and evaluating the effectiveness of risk management and compliance programs.

  • Assist with the development and execution of risk and compliance strategies
  • Supervise a team of compliance professionals
  • Conduct high-level risk assessments and develop comprehensive mitigation plans
  • Ensure organisational compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Oversee investigation and resolution of major compliance breaches and incidents
