Compliance Specialist Location: UK (Remote)Length: Start: Asap – End: 31 December 2025 Rate: £35.00 p/h (Inside IR35) Hours: 9am-6pm Overview:The Compliance team is looking for an independent, team-oriented professional who can collaborate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving business environment. This role will be part of the EMEA Regional Ethics & Compliance team, with an initial geographical focus across EMEA countries, while also supporting other regional and global compliance needs.The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. As the first point of contact for ethics and compliance requests from stakeholders across EMEA and a variety of teams, the right candidate must be able to understand and assess risks across a wide variety of business areas. The ability to triage ethics and compliance issues and escalate appropriately is critical, as is being able to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Finally, they respect our Client's values and be able to articulate how our work fits into our client's Mission.Responsibilities:
  • Manage, review, and respond to business requests relating to donations, grants, sponsorships, travel, meals, gifts, and entertainment in view of our client's internal policies, the FCPA, and other applicable anti-corruption laws
  • Triage escalations from the Compliance Centre of Excellence (COE) relating to 3rd party due diligence and other review procedures, and assist with addressing relevant red flags and alerts in partnership with Regional Compliance Managers/Leads
  • Project manage cross-vertical anti-corruption approvals for global initiatives with a cross-regional scope, including cross-regional scaled programs (e.g., grant programs to small businesses) and emergency events (e.g., wars, strikes, natural disasters, etc.)
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on the global population of approval requests (donations, grants, sponsorships, travel, meals, gifts, and entertainment) and recommend operational improvements
  • Represent the Regional Ethics and Compliance teams (REC) in meetings and XFN groups involving tooling improvements relating to the AC approval process, and support these teams with the implementation of the new approvals tooling and development of corresponding workflows and processes
  • Get inputs from REC and Compliance Counsel teams to develop and maintain specific Reviewer & Approvals Playbooks. Coordinate with Legal Risk Management Reporting and Analytics to ensure and improve reporting metrics related to anti-corruption Reviews and Approvals
  • When required, collaborate with the Regional Ethics and Compliance (REC) and 1st Line business teams to analyse and recommend anti-corruption approvals necessary as part of new product compliance-by-design

Minimum qualifications:
  • Self-starter with 5+ years of industry or consulting experience in ethics and compliance, risk mitigation, business process consulting, or internal audit, in a multinational company
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and work cross-functionally with multiple geographies, functions, and employees of diverse backgrounds
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a collaborative team-oriented problem-solving approach are critical
  • High degree of professional ethics and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English and the ability to write clearly and concisely
Preferred qualifications:
  • Background in technology, media and advertising, telecommunications infrastructure, and proven knowledge of core business processes within these industries is a plus
