Reed Banking are currently representing an international banking organisation in their recruitment for a Fraud Compliance Manager. This role is crucial for managing and mitigating risks related to card payments financial crimes within the bank. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements related to Anti-Money Laundering, the Proceeds of Crime Act, and the Fraud Act. This position involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure the bank's operations align with legal and regulatory standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements and apply this knowledge to Anti-Money Laundering / Fraud Compliance legislation and other related areas.
- Manage Production Orders and other related orders from external agencies such as HMRC and law enforcement, ensuring timely responses.
- Support the Financial Crime Prevention Team with fraud queries, referrals, and guidance.
- Conduct timely investigations into various types of fraud, including first-party, third-party, and internal fraud.
- Generate periodic and ad hoc management information reports on fraud.
- Analyse fraud data to identify new and existing trends and patterns.
- Handle administration, evaluation, and reporting of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Assist in the development and delivery of training related to financial crime prevention.
- Prepare and help implement policies and processes to prevent fraud.
- Report to the Head of Compliance and Board Committees on fraud-related matters.
- Serve as the point of contact for CIFAS-related issues, managing CIFAS loadings and reviews, and ensuring compliance with the Immigration Act.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in financial crime fraud prevention or a similar role within the banking sector.
- Strong understanding of Anti-Money Laundering, Proceeds of Crime Act, and Fraud Act.
- Experience with handling sensitive information and dealing with law enforcement and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Relevant certifications in financial crime prevention or compliance are highly advantageous.
