Immediate start - Temporary Governance Officer - 15- 18 per hour plus holiday pay

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced Governance Officer to temp at this leading Charitable organisation, with a focus on girls and young women, at their Head Office in London Victoria. This is an initial 2-month temporary position to start as soon as possible, and both part time and full time options are being considered. There is a potential longer term part time opportunity available too. A mix of office and remote working is needed.

The Governance team are responsible for coordinating the governance activity across the organisation and working within this tight team of 4, working closely with the Governance Manager, your role is varied. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with the annual calendar of Board and Committee meetings

Supporting meetings in agenda preparation, collating meeting papers, proofing papers and editing as required. Minute Taking at meetings

Provide Trustee and Committee member support- answering queries, processing expenses

Maintain Trustee records, the archive of papers, minutes and other governance documents and processes

Help facilitate the recruitment of new trustees and committee members

Assisting the Governance Manager on the delivery of the AGM

Regulatory duties - maintain accurate records for the organisation and record any changes to the list of trustees and submitting online notification of changes to relevant organisations.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of governance and will need to demonstrate experience working with Trustees and Committees. Strong minute taking skills are essential.
