This is an opportunity to contribute to a team dedicated to fostering trust and integrity in the financial services sector.The RoleJoin a dynamic team driving strategic goals of ‘independent assurance and oversight’ and ‘industry insight and innovation.’ This role focuses on promoting best practices, conducting research, and helping firms meet required standards.Key ResponsibilitiesInsight and Engagement:• Support the delivery of the business’s Insight strategy and provide guidance on Standards and Codes.• Develop training materials, lead roundtables, and organise workshops based on compliance reports and policy publications.• Share insights through reports and presentations, contributing to key discussions.• Assist in developing and refining Standards and materials for practitioners.• Raise the business’s profile by sharing research and insights.Business Development:• Represent the business at industry events, including speaking at panels and roundtables.• Support the onboarding strategy, targeting, and due diligence for new registrants.• Assist with firm retention and expand the reach of the business’s Standards and Codes.Please note This role involves UK-wide travel to visit firms, attend events, and deliver insight activities, with occasional overnight stays.Key Skills and ExperienceEssential:• Experience in compliance, risk, or audit within UK retail or SME financial services, with knowledge of the credit regulatory landscape.• Background in assurance or oversight roles.• Strong networking, relationship-building, and presentation skills.• Ability to simplify complex regulatory concepts for practical use.• Experience in training, engaging senior personnel, and promoting best practices.• Strong planning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.• MS Suite proficiency• A proactive, collaborative team player.• Data analysis experience.• Passion for consumer protection and improving financial services standards.Personal Attributes:• Enthusiastic about raising industry standards and protecting consumers.• A champion of the business values: integrity, impact, inquiry, and inclusivity.• Demonstrates professionalism, adaptability, and a collaborative approach.Company benefits:• 30 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)• Employer pension contribution – 10%• Group Life Assurance • Employee Assistance Programme• Private Health (after successful completion of probation)• This position is fully remote with monthly attendance required in London.
