- As a Mortgage Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance across a range of mortgage cases, with a strong emphasis on second charge mortgages. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to legal requirements and internal policies.

Mortgage Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed audits of mortgage files, loan documents, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Keep up to date with changes in mortgage laws and regulations, ensuring management and staff are informed of relevant updates.
- Work closely with teams across the business to address compliance issues and implement necessary changes.
- Provide guidance and training on compliance policies and procedures, fostering awareness and understanding.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audit findings, and remediation actions.
The Mortgage Compliance Officer Package
- Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
- Basic Salary up to £50k
- Hybrid working 2 days from home
- Holidays: 25 Days per Year
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
- Previous compliance experience within financial services, specifically in residential mortgage compliance.
- Good understanding of the FCA’s regulatory approach and framework.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve business objectives.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and objection-handling skills.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management.
