We require multiple Operational Planning Manager / Deployment Managers to cover an existing workload within Metropolitan Police, based in Kilburn with occasional working in New Scotland Yard (Hybrid working – 3 days per week office based).
This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.
Job Purpose:
- We are seeking a versatile candidate for a role that combines the responsibilities of both a Deployment Manager and an Operational Planning Manager.
- The primary difference between these roles lies in their focus: the Deployment Manager handles deployment mechanisms and personnel movement, while the Operational Planning Manager focuses on role-specific tasks.
- We will initially advertise a single role and then allocate responsibilities based on the applicants' strengths and qualifications.
- Candidates should indicate their preference for either role in their cover sheets.
Skills and experience needed to be successful in this role:
- Experience in planning and deploying a large, volume-based workforce.
- Strong IT skills and analytical abilities, particularly in using Excel to manage and manipulate data.
- Operational Workforce Planning and Deployment: Strong understanding of strategies to ensure efficient and effective resource use.
- Organisational Skills: Exceptional ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands in a dynamic environment.
- Oracle HR Experience: Essential experience with Oracle HR for effective system navigation and utilisation.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to assess and interpret data, providing insights for informed decision-making.
- Excel Proficiency: Proficient in Excel for data manipulation and management to support operational needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey information clearly to various stakeholders.
This role offers a competitive salary of £400 - £500 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35) and you’ll be working via Reed who offer great benefits such as discounts, cashback offers and more as well as weekly pay.
