Our client is a local authority based in London and they require a degree qualified Town Planner to carry out a role within their Development Management Team.

Your work will focus on dealing with a caseload which will include minors, complex minor and some small major planning applications.

On a daily basis you will be completing reports, carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.

Recent work experience in Town Planning is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date.

You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.

Supervision experience is desirable but not essential. The role will be offered for an initial 3 month period but is expected to be extended.

The rate offered will depend on your experience, but is expected to be £35/hr Umbrella or more. This role is inside IR35.
