- Advise project teams and clients on Health and Safety risk management, fulfilling the role as Principal Designer in compliance with UK and relevant international CDM regulations.
- Help advance the role of CDM PD within the business as outlined by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Support in-house design teams in applying global best practices across locations.
- Review projects, prioritising CDM PD assignments, and provide Health and Safety insights for consistency in Pre-construction standards.
- Compile and support clients in delivering Pre-Construction Information.
- Oversee and coordinate Health and Safety during the Pre-Construction phase.
- Prepare and submit the Health and Safety File upon project completion.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for internal design teams.
- Conduct research on national and international Health and Safety standards and practices.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies where required.
- Evaluate and assist in completing Design Risk Assessments/Registers.
- Maintain knowledge of and adherence to procedures and standards.
- Assist in preparing proposals related to Principal Designer services.
- Strong CDM experience.
- CMIOSH Chartered Member of IOSH.
- Membership in APS.
- Proven ability in delivering CDM/Health & Safety consultancy services.
- Strong understanding of design and construction management.
- Competent with Microsoft Office.
- Legally authorised to work in the UK.
- Security clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Resilience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
