MERJE is currently working with a highly reputable discretionary wealth management business in their search for a Product Governance Manager.

You will:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a strong product governance framework, ensuring full compliance with FCA regulations and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee periodic reviews of existing products and services to ensure they remain suitable and compliant.
  • Oversee the process for new products and services, including conducting risk assessments, securing necessary approvals, and coordinating Central Business Cases.
  • Oversee and periodically review Target Market Assessments and Fair Value Assessments ensuring these are accurately maintained.
  • Manage and review Risk of Harms assessments, with a focus on the proper treatment of Vulnerable Clients.
  • Maintain oversight of Consumer Duty Dashboards and metrics, keeping everything in line with compliance requirements.
  • Oversee due diligence processes across the value chain, including those with asset managers and IFAs.
  • Keep an eye on regulatory developments, implementing new processes as needed to stay compliant.
  • Prepare board papers, annual attestations, and regular reports on product governance matters, including conducting peer group comparisons and competition analysis.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Relevant Governance experience preferably gained in a wealth or investment management environment
  • In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations, particularly Consumer Duty
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
