We are partnered with an International Bank who are currently looking for Prudential Regulatory Policy Manager, at Associate Director. The core focus of the role includes current and future policy and interpretation analysis and policy documentation focusing on prudential regulation primarily relating to capital adequacy, large exposure and concentration risk, and leverage.

The individual will be responsible for assessing the regulatory requirements related to these areas, liaising with the regulatory reporting teams, business areas, Finance and Risk functions to manage the internal life cycle of regulatory change with a core focus on analysis, interpretation and documentation of policies.Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation and ongoing review and maintenance of policies and interpretations for existing and new regulatory requirements
  • Analysis and communication of new regulatory publications from Basel, UK and EU regulators including revisions to Basel 3.1/CRR3 and related requirements.
  • Coordination of impact assessments of new regulatory updates for UK and EU entities.
  • Communication on regulatory developments to/from internal stakeholders and management.
  • Working with the reporting, risk and project teams to ensure regulatory change projects are delivered in line with the regulatory requirements.
  • Liaising with wider stakeholders across business areas, Risk, Controllers and Legal to develop appropriate requirements and solutions to manage regulatory capital resources.
  • Engagement with industry bodies including AFME, ISDA and UKF
  • Participation in ad hoc Finance initiatives and projects

Skills/Experience Required:

  • A very strong background and detailed technical understanding of UK/EU Prudential Regulatory topics including Basel 3.1 and CRR/CRD.
  • Excellent understanding of UK and European rules (including CRR, IFPR, IFR).
  • Regulatory policy or reporting experience in an investment bank or other relevant experience e.g. consultancy/regulator background.
  • Wholesale/investment banking product knowledge including derivatives and SFTs.
