Are you a strategic thinker with experience in managing resource across the rail sector?
Ford & Stanley are currently recruiting for a Strategic Resourcing Manager to assist management level in forecasting needs across the business as part of a wider strategic piece.
The Opportunity
You will be looking longer term to identify what the business needs, and understand turnover of resource in the business.
The role is working on behalf of a train operating company based in London who are going through a significant transformation across the business . This is a great opportunity to play a part and really make a mark on this period of change.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a customer-focused, strategic resourcing function that balances efficiency with an exceptional customer experience.
- Lead in the consultation delivery of base rosters for traincrew ensuring alignment with LTP, STP, the national network timetable, engineering works, and employee service conditions.
- Manage the construction and delivery of station roster production, ensuring cost-effective resource utilisation and compliance with budgetary constraints and business instructions.
- Act as the main point of accountability for resourcing costs, reporting directly to the Head of Service Delivery and other departmental heads.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to integrate ad hoc route and traction knowledge into roster requirements, ensuring a diverse range of resource availability.
The Candidate
- Proficiency in people management is essential
- Proven experience in a strategic resourcing or rostering role within the rail industry or similar complex operational environments.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and planning skills, with a strong focus on efficiency and customer experience.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience overseeing roster construction and delivery in alignment with business and operational requirements
