We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Risk and Compliance department at a leading London law firm. The team is growing, and they are looking for a Compliance assistant who is eager to take on more responsibility and contribute to the firm’s continued success.

As part of the Risk and Compliance team, you will work closely with a dedicated group of professionals, including two Compliance Assistants and officers, the Risk & Compliance Manager, a Debt Recovery Solicitor, and the General Counsel, who also serves as the COLP and Money Laundering Compliance Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to the management of risk and compliance within the firm, ensuring adherence to regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to the firm’s Reputation and Risk Committee, focusing on high-risk client and matter issues.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the firm is compliant with all relevant anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of the firm’s risk management policies and procedures.
  • Support the department’s growth, providing input and suggestions for improving processes and protocols.

We are seeking individuals with 6-12 months of experience in a junior compliance role who are ready to take the next step in their career. Ideal candidates will:

  • Have a strong understanding of high-risk client and matter issues, with experience in reporting on these areas.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to draft clear, concise reports.
  • Be proactive, with the ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and grow within the risk and compliance field.
