Risk and Compliance Project Manager

  • Daily Rate: £500.00 - £575 per day inside IR35 (depending on level of experience)

Reed Professional Service are seeking an experienced Project Manager specialised in Financial and Non-Financial Risk and Compliance for a business-critical project for one of our large-scale media clients. This role involves reviewing material risks to ensure that the Board of directors is aware of any significant risks, particularly following updates to the Financial Reporting Council’s guidance for UK Corporate Governance Codes.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Ensure the company’s financial reporting practices align with the FRC Corporate Governance Code.
  • Implement necessary changes to compliance and reporting processes based on FRC updates.
  • Lead and manage risk and compliance projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on risk exposure and mitigation efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale financial and non-financial risk and compliance projects within complex, global organisations.
  • Strong commercial acumen, ideally with experience in projects within organisations exposed to US stocks.
  • Experience in the application of controls in financial and non-financial risk.
  • Strong experience in working on Risk and Control Frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
