Our client is a top-tier US Law firm. It prides itself in its commitment to excellence and its robust compliance framework.

Description

  • Advise the firm's Compliance function including the COLP, MLRO and DPO in relation to all applicable risk and compliance matters under the SRA regulations.
  • Playing a key role in suggesting and implementing improvements in the firm's approach to risk management.
  • Carrying out compliance audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assisting the compliance team in developing and maintaining internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Acting as a point of contact for external regulators.
  • Staying abreast of changes to regulations affecting the firm and reporting these to fee-earners.
  • Organising compliance training for the London office.
  • Investigating new client complaints.
  • Investigating any breaches of regulations and consulting with senior members of the team to ensure material breaches are reported in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge and understanding of appropriate regulations including money laundering regulations, General Data Protection Regulations, SRA Standards and Regulations, Firm standards of client service, anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, client due diligence etc.

Profile

A successful Senior Compliance Analyst should have:

  • A degree in law, finance, business administration or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of SRA rules and regulations in relation to general compliance, conflicts, AML, anti-bribery and data protection.
  • Previous demonstratable experience in a compliance position within a law firm.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in compliance software systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
