To manage the firm's Compliance function in ensuring that the Firm's European offices comply with applicable regulatory requirements, including by ensuring that effective systems, controls, policies and training are in place.

Description

  • Assist the Firm's Compliance function with developing and implementing internal compliance policies and procedures to ensure the Firm continues to follow best practice with respect to its regulatory and compliance obligations.
  • Acting as the point of contact for regulatory bodies, including in relation to investigations, information requests, data protection enquiries and Subject Access Requests.
  • Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Update fee-earners and staff of relevant changes in applicable regulation or in relevant market practice.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of SRA regulations and internal policies including AML, GDPR, Conflicts, CDD, anti-bribery and corruption.
  • Investigate and recommend a course of action following any client complaints.
  • Maintain a centralised reporting system to capture and record any breaches in compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training sessions

Profile

A successful 'Senior Compliance Analyst' should have:

  • A degree in Law, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the Legal industry
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory compliance
  • Good knowledge of SRA Standards and Regulations, AML rules and procedures, data protection legislation, KYC processes.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge are essential.
  • Judgement to balance commercial and compliance risks to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects
