They are looking for an experienced evaluation leader to design and direct a portfolio of evaluation studies on government policies relating to specifically to the areas of science, tech, infrastructure, business and net zero. As a Senior Director, you'll provide technical, management, and development support to colleagues while contributing to their wider evaluation services.

The Opportunity:

To be considered for this role, you should have a strong track record in the design and delivery of environmental policy evaluations, research, and analysis for the UK Government, working as a project director and service leader. You should also have an expert understanding of the theory and application of impact and/or process evaluation methods, experience of leadership in a consulting or similar project-based environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This is a director-level role and they are looking for someone with a strong track record of design and leadership of evaluations and policy studies on related topics, and proven experience in building and leading teams, and in the commercial and management aspects of such services. Your experience could have been gained in consulting, government or research.

About you:

If you have expertise in applying evaluation methods in one or more of the following policy areas, business, technology and science, infrastructure and net zero policies, preferably in a UK context.

In this role, you will design and direct a portfolio of evaluation studies on government policies relating to the topics listed above. You will also contribute to the development and delivery of our wider evaluation service offer for the govt, working with our senior leadership. Additionally, you will provide technical, management and development support to colleagues who are at an earlier stage of career progression.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in the design and delivery of policy evaluations, research and analysis for the UK Government, working as a project director and service leader. You will have at least 15 years relevant professional experience. You should also have an expert understanding of the theory and application of impact and/or process evaluation methods in at least one of the following areas, science and tech, business, infrastructure and net zero policies. Experience of leadership in a consulting or similar project-based environment, strong project management and commercial skills, and expertise in business or major programme leadership are also required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
