My client is seeking a dynamic Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) Manager to lead and execute long-term workforce strategies across the organization. This pivotal role involves owning the SWP process, building capability, and using data-driven insights to ensure we have the right people with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement SWP Process: Continuously improve the strategic workforce planning process to align with our organizational goals.
- Data-Driven Insights: Create and utilize SWP models to forecast future skill needs and align with our location strategy. Analyze workforce data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Long-Term Planning: Collaborate on the development of a 5-year workforce plan, ensuring alignment with our long-term objectives and business needs.
- Facilitate Scenario Planning: Lead scenario planning workshops with casework teams, HR colleagues, and enabling functions, gathering insights to drive effective decision-making and risk mitigation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Strategic People Partners, Organisational Capability colleagues, and key stakeholders to support the deployment of change projects and ensure seamless integration with operational plans.
- Horizon Scanning: Conduct external market and regulatory analysis to anticipate workforce challenges and integrate these insights into our workforce strategies.
- Reporting and Insights: Prepare detailed reports for senior leaders, providing actionable insights to guide strategic decisions.
- Capability Building: Develop and deliver tools and training to build SWP capability across the business, ensuring teams are equipped with the necessary data, skills, and knowledge.
You must have;
- CIPD Strategic Workforce Planning qualification or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience developing and executing SWP methodologies in small to medium-sized organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to source and validate data for informed recommendations.
- Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing future workforce challenges.
- Proven ability to build partnerships, influence across all levels, and lead through ambiguity.
- Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to engage stakeholders in meaningful workforce planning discussions.
