- Determining and executing an end-to-end heat network strategy, with supporting processes and procedures for the UK property portfolio. To include working with the company Commercial Director to agree contracting requirements and fees where applicable.
- Including developing an appropriate supply chain and partners with the support of procurement to assist in delivery of the strategy; including metering and billing performance across the the company UK portfolio.
- Act as subject matter expert to understand the changing regulatory requirements due to be implemented in 2025 and beyond. Understanding the company’s current position and updating the company Executive Team.
- Working with the company IT to utilise technology to develop a tracking tool to allow monitoring against requirements.
- Provide strategic support to operational teams to ensure that the company managed heat networks are compliant with the existing and evolving heat market regulations, heat metering and billing regulations and ensure periodic audits of properties to ensure compliance of heat network requirements.
- Devise training programme to ensure wider teams within the company are clear on the requirements and understand best practise and implications to our clients (as Heat Supplier) and the company (as network operator) for non-compliance.
- Engage with client facing teams such that they are able to communicate heat network requirements and the company’s service/support, including joining client calls and directing communication where support is required.
- Where appropriate, support the company and our clients to seek funding to improve heat network performance (such as through HNES).
- Bachelor’s or master degree in building services engineering or equivalent to demonstrate extent of technical capabilities.
- CIBSE Heat Network Consultant certification (desirable).

- A robust practical and managerial understanding of the technical/operational requirements to heat networks – including a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations
- Knowledge of CIBSE CP1 for Heat Networks
- Understanding of P&L requirements/tracking
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate
