About the Role
As a Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all technical services related to MEP for various commercial fit-out projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can liaise with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure the smooth integration of technical services within the construction process. You'll be expected to manage the full lifecycle of MEP services, from design coordination to on-site installation and handover. Key tasks include ensuring compliance with industry standards, managing service delivery, mitigating risks, and troubleshooting any issues to guarantee project success.
You'll play a crucial part in ensuring that building services are not only operational but are also aligned with sustainability goals and innovative design solutions. Requirements
- Proven experience in managing MEP systems for commercial fit-out projects
- Knowledge of building services engineering, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and public health systems
- Familiarity with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and building codes
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project delivery
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services (or equivalent experience)
- Professional memberships such as CIBSE, IET, or equivalent would be advantageous
