As a leading main contractor with an impressive track record of working on prestigious listed and heritage buildings across London, our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Bias Technical Services Manager to oversee the building services operations on an exciting 50 million refurbishment project transforming a historicproperty into a collection of ultra-luxurious residential dwellings. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering a complex, high-profile scheme that will breathe new life into a cherished landmark building.

In this pivotal role, the Technical Services Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the mechanical and electrical packages, from pre-construction planning through to final delivery and commissioning. This will involve coordinating closely with the MEP contractors, reviewing their designs, programs and procurement schedules, and closely monitoring progress to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will chair weekly meetings to maintain tight control over the subcontractor activities, while also managing critical processes such as RFI tracking, testing and inspection, and the overall commissioning program. Leveraging their extensive experience in the refurbishment and listed buildings sector, they will also provide vital technical expertise to navigate the unique challenges of working on this heritage property, with a particular focus on integrating the state-of-the-art ambient loop heating and cooling systems.

With a strong academic background in building services, complemented by a proven track record of working for either main contractors or subcontractors, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex project environment. Previous experience in the refurbishment of listed buildings would be considered a major asset, as would a comprehensive understanding of both mechanical and electrical disciplines. In return, our client is offering the opportunity to be part of an ambitious, growing business with a healthy pipeline of high-caliber projects, including a prestigious contract with a Formula One team, as well as excellent prospects for long-term career progression within their specialist contracting business.
