Role Overview:

As a Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of fit-out projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective solutions. This is a leadership role where you will manage a team, coordinate subcontractors, and liaise with clients to ensure all technical requirements are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all technical aspects of fit-out projects from concept through to completion.
  • Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Ensure that all work complies with the latest regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to deliver technically sound and efficient solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and quality.
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring optimal use of materials and labor.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and industry trends to bring innovative ideas to the business.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Services Manager or in a similar technical management role within the fit-out or construction sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fit-out construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and technical tools.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Professional qualifications such as MCIOB or equivalent are an advantage.
  • Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH) are a plus.
