Our client, a prestigious higher education institution located at the South Kensington campus, is seeking a Visa Compliance Officer to join their team. This is a temporary position starting around August 14th, and lasting until the end of October 2024, with the possibility of a permanent role.

As a Visa Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in processing and verifying visa-related documents for international students. With around 3500 new students joining each year, your attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of work will be essential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing Biometric Residence Permits (BPR) for incoming international students.
  • Checking the BPR records against student information, ensuring accuracy.
  • Scanning and saving the records in a designated folder.
  • Uploading the records to the in-house student records system.
  • Entering details in the international page.
  • Conducting right-to-study checks and verifying students' eligibility to work.
  • Assisting students with their BPR, providing guidance and support.

In addition to these duties, you will also engage in general correspondence with students, including email communication, to ensure that all data is entered correctly and that students are informed about any necessary steps or requirements.

Our client operates a hybrid working pattern, particularly during busy months from August to October. During this period, you may be required to work in the office for three to four days a week, with the remaining days being remote. However, there is no fixed anchor day, allowing for flexibility in scheduling.

To be successful in this role, you must have prior experience working in higher or further education, as well as a strong understanding of the student life cycle. This is a fast-paced and demanding environment, so it is essential that you are able to hit the ground running from day one.

If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting international students and ensuring visa compliance, we would love to hear from you. Apply now to join our client's team as a Visa Compliance Officer.
