Graduate Researcher

Location: London EC1

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Our client was established over 25 years ago as a leading research support to law firms worldwide. They are looking for a recent Graduate (2024), ideally in History but will consider Law or Humanities, to join their award-winning research team, working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

For the first month of training, you will be required to attend the office near Shoreditch but after that you will be able to work hybrid, attending the office at least 2 days a week but otherwise based at home. There is a 6 months’ probation period, after which you will receive a full permanent contract, which offers 28 days holiday.

Duties: -

  1. Research records, both in-house and externally as referred to you by your manager.
  2. General administration of all documents including legal paperwork.
  3. Scanning, photocopying and filing of documents including legal paperwork.
  4. Assist Management with written correspondence and report preparation.
  5. Assist in ordering and distributing documents.
  6. Create distribution schedules.
  7. Undertake training and development as specified by your manager.

Skills/Knowledge Required: -

  1. Degree educated ideally in History, Law or Humanities
  2. Good Research Skills.
  3. Attention to detail.
  4. Methodical approach.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload.
  7. Problem solving skills and the ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
  8. Experience of handling and resolving customer queries and complaints.

Pre-selection and Interview process:

  1. A video interview via WhatsApp, FaceTime or Zoom with a Shenley Recruitment Consultant - all interviews to be completed by midday on 17th March.
  2. Clients CV shortlisting process will take place on 18th or 19th March.
  3. First round - MsTeams interview with 2 Line Managers on Friday 21st, Monday 24th or Tuesday 25th March.
  4. Second round - MsTeams with 2 Senior Directors on w/c Monday 31st March.
  5. If offered the role you will be invited into the office for an informal look around and meet the team.
