About the Role
We're looking for a highly motivated person with expertise in machine learning, data science and actuarial practices. You'll be working at the intersection of advanced analytics and traditional actuarial methods, driving key business strategies through innovative pricing solutions and insights.

With a focus on motor insurance, your role will span pricing model development, market analysis and collaboration across teams to deliver competitive, customer-focused insurance products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement pricing models using machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to evaluate risk and optimise pricing strategies.
  • Combine advanced data science with traditional actuarial methodologies for comprehensive pricing solutions.
  • Extract, cleanse, and process large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Partner with product development teams to create pricing strategies
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in data science, machine learning, and insurance pricing to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and risk management teams to ensure alignment
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Support new product development with expert pricing analysis and input.
  • Work on meaningful projects that reshape the insurance experience for customers and businesses.

What You'll Need

  • A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or similar.
  • Good experience as a pricing analyst / data scientist within motor insurance.
  • Experience working with claims data in an advantage
  • Experience using machine learning tools and techniques (Python, SQL)
  • Strong knowledge of actuarial principles, particularly for motor insurance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of translating complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
